Neonatal Resuscitation Program - NRP
95 Judge Tanner Blvd Covington, LA 70433
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an educational program designed to teach life support skills to all health care providers that are present at the birth of a baby. The NRP course is designed to give the healthcare provider the basic knowledge to care for the neonatal patient in cardiac arrest and to manage resuscitation efforts in conditions that may lead to arrest. This course will provide the skills necessary to resuscitate a newborn and to work smoothly as a team with other healthcare professionals.
You must complete the online examination at http://www.aap.org/nrp/exam prior to the NRP course, during the 30 days before the course. You must finish testing within 14 days of your original start date. If you complete the examination more than 30 days before your scheduled course, the examination is invalid and you must pay to take it again. At Lakeview, you will demonstrate the necessary neonatal resuscitation lessons within the context of a clinical scenario in correct sequence according to the NRP flow diagram, with correct timing and proper technique. Bring your online examination verification to the NRP course.
Required pre-course preparation packet will be mailed after registration is complete.
